As Hollywood’s stars make their way to the French Riviera this for the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, Uber will take part in the annual celebration of the silver screen as it introduces its new private jet service. Dubbed UberJET, the San Francisco based transportation network company teamed up with GOODWILL Private Jets for this imited-time service. Catering to the festival’s wealthiest attendees, UberJET will allow them to fly to and from Cannes simply by requesting a jet via Uber’s smartphone app. Users will be picked up via a private driver and driven directly to a private plane at the Bourget airport. After touching down in either Nice or Cannes, a private driver will once again be present to ferry the passengers to their final destination. Good news: UberJET launched today and will be available for the 2014 festival through May 18th with flights priced at approximately $8,930 USD.
